Setting up my Shop with Etsy

It's been a few years now since I first signed up and posted a few products at Etsy.  I thought I'd make it work this time, as I enjoy making jewelry and photographing it as well.  It was always my goal to have an online store.

The marketing piece has been a bit of a stumbling block in the past, but this time I'll use some Etsy advertising options and social media to create more exposure.

Etsy is a marketplace made up of a community of artisans who show and sell their handmade products from this venue.  I have 8 items posted now, mostly necklace and earring sets. Lots more product, especially earrings, to photograph and post so keep checking in.  http://www.etsy.ca/shop/RadiantRays

Ladies Night Out at Pleasantview Community League

Well it was a great time at the Ladies Night Out evening at Pleasantview Community League on Sat. Jan. 12th from 7 to 10 pm.

I saw numerous neighbours from my street, since I live in Pleasantview, and I even met some people that I knew from way back -- a student that I taught in a kindergarten 1 half day/wk program and at least 10 years ago, and a physiotherapist I knew from 20 years ago. It surprised me that I recognized her and remembered her name.

The atmosphere was friendly with a party mood vibe as ladies drank their glass of champagne and participated in a mixer bingo game. People still browsed through the vendor tables.  The best part was that my neighbour won the draw prize I put in, and the scarf/shawl colours with necklace were perfect for her.

I hear there is a Swap Day coming up in April.....expect I'll be there as a vendor.

Salagado Fenwick is having several more Pop Up Shops this year, where my jewelry will be available for purchase.  You will find a wide selection of earrings for gift-giving, ranging in prices from $10 to $35.You will also find various semi-precious gemstone necklaces, so Come and Shop!
